Dr Rosena Allin-Khan MP was elected as Member of Parliament for Tooting in a by-election in 2016 and has previously served on the frontbench as Shadow Minister for Sport and Shadow Cabinet Member for Mental Health. She continues to work on the NHS frontline as an A&E doctor.
During her time as Shadow Cabinet Minister for Mental Health, Rosena helped shape Labour’s mental health pledges, and helped to support the travel industry during Covid by calling out the Government’s damaging messaging.
Rosena has worked in conflict zones and refugee camps across the world as a humanitarian doctor. She has worked in the Rohingya refugee camps on the border of Myanmar, in Palestine, and Africa. During the very first weeks of the Russian invasion, she also travelled to Ukraine to provide medical support and training to Ukrainian medics.
