Famous Blue Flag Beaches

The beautiful Halkidiki, with its coastline of 550 km, received 94 Blue Flags, to became the top area in Greece. To receive a Blue Flag eco-label, a beach must not only be found to have an excellent water quality, it must comply with a total of 33 criteria (38 for marinas and 51 for boat operators!), concerning cleanliness, environmental management and awareness, various amenities and services, information, visitor safety and protection of the coastal area.

Halkidiki is Aristotle's Hometown

The renowned figure of Aristotle is familiar to all. However, it's not common knowledge that the birthplace of this ancient Greek philosopher is Halkidiki, specifically the historic city of Stagira. A visit to Aristotle Park allows you to observe and experiment with the very instruments he employed: prisms, optical discs, compasses, hourglasses, and even wind turbines.

Halkidiki's Natural Springs

Situated on the southern edge of the Kassandra peninsula, atop a cliff, lies the enchanting Agia Paraskevi thermal resort, known for its therapeutic springs. Within its premises, you'll find a contemporary spa replete with pools, hydro massage facilities, saunas, and hammams.  As you undergo treatments, you'll also be treated to a breath taking panorama that encompasses views of Mount Olympus, the expansive sea, and the surrounding islands.
