Mai Elmar

Executive Director of Cruise Port Rotterdam and Cruise Port Shore Power.

Shore Power aimed to be ready in Rotterdam in 2024. Mai is currently also Chairperson of VNO-NCW Rotterdam & region (confederation Industry & Employers in NL), member of the Maritime board Rotterdam and serves on two non-executive boards both within the shipping industry. She previously served as e.g. Honorary Consul General of Norway (2003 – 2008) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Rotterdam (2006-2010) .

She has been working internationally throughout her career as an executive within shipping, real estate and hotels.

She received the City of Rotterdam ‘Wolfert van Borselen’ medal for her social and economic contribution to the city. She was announced Mrs. ‘Port man of the year' in 2005.

In 2016 she was appointed ‘Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau’ by His Majesty the King of The Netherlands.
