Andrew Swaffield is President of Virgin Enterprises and an adviser to Richard Branson and the Virgin Group. Until recently he was Chief Commercial Officer for the Virgin Group and Chief Executive Officer for Virgin Red, a Virgin wide loyalty company that he built since 2018. 

Andrew was previously CEO of the Monarch Group which he joined in 2014 and oversaw extensive restructuring, a sale to Greybull Capital and the eventual administration in 2017, after the Brexit vote, multiple terrorist attacks and a collapse in yields on its core Spanish markets.

He spent seven years as CEO of Airmiles and created and launched Avios in 2011.  Andrew spent 11 years at British Airways culminating in the role of Head of Leisure Sales for the UK & Ireland.

Andrew left school at 16 and joined Thomas Cook as a trainee travel agent, where he spent 10 years in a variety of roles. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and volunteers weekly with the Ambulance service as a Community First Responder in rural West Sussex where he lives with his husband of 26 years, four horses and a dog.
