Lars Kruse

Lars Kruse joined the MEYER Group directly after graduating from high school. Born and raised in Papenburg, Germany he was always addicted to water, ships, technology. As a company student, he learned the mechanical technologies within cruise ships but also mechanics and design procedures at the university. Within the Sales and Design Department, he was in the beginning responsible for ship concepts and handled several concepts from first sketch to final contract like the DISNEY WISH. After becoming Sales Manager within the sales organization of MEYER, he quickly got into the Sales driver’s seat as Head of Sales and Design for the MEYER Group. Being responsible for the acquisition of shipbuilding contracts for the yards in Papenburg, Turku and Rostock his responsibility is also to prepare the strategy of the yards product portfolio. Beside the cruise ship projects, he was involved in setting up the MEYER FLOATING SOLUTION concepts and MEYER YACHTS. Expanding the existing knowledge into new fields and sectors is one of the most demanding challenges – but also brings a lot of fun and diversity into the professional life.
