Julie Green joined CLIA in Europe in January 2020 as Vice President of Strategic
Communications.
Green is an expert communicator with a strong background and combined
experience in corporate PR and Public Policy.
Prior to joining CLIA, Green was the head of corporate communications in the
United Kingdom (UK) for WSP, a world-leading engineering professional services
firm, consulting on some of the most significant infrastructure and property
projects in the UK, including Buckingham Palace, the Shard, the Parliamentary Estates, Crossrail, and HS2.
While at WSP, Green helped establish, among other initiatives, the government
relations function and corresponding strategy and the media positioning
strategy resulting in positive coverage, enhanced reputation, and successful achievement of targeted
business results. She also led brand development, crisis management, and change leadership, as well as
key events, including WSP’s global leadership conference.
Previous to her role at WSP, she headed up global communications for the infrastructure business at the
engineering firm Bechtel. During her tenure at Bechtel, from 2005 to 2016, she helped to transform the
company’s approach to reputation management, targeted marketing communications, and awardwinning
digital marketing campaigns. In addition, she introduced and ran strategic communications and
thought leadership programs across multiple markets, including central and eastern Europe, the Middle
East, and central Africa.
Earlier in her career, she held strategic communications management roles with RMC Group, a
multinational ready-mix concrete and building materials company (later acquired by Cemex); and
APCO UK, a strategic communications consultancy.
Green earned her bachelor’s degree from Durham University.
